This Week In Rotary

What a great day for the 33rd Rotary Club of Ashburton Plains Classic Car Run!

Hundreds turned out last Sunday (26 April) to enjoy perfect weather and an incredible display of classic vehicles. The day kicked off with registrations at the Ashburton Showgrounds from 9am, before participants set off at 10:30am on a relaxed 62km cruise through the countryside, finishing at the historic Hakatere Heritage Corner.

With more than 140 vehicles on display — from early vintage treasures to modern classics — there was something to capture everyone’s interest.

A big thank you to everyone who took part, came along to support, or helped make the day such a success. Funds raised from the event will go towards purchasing a Video Laryngoscope for the Rural Health Academic Centre at Ashburton Hospital — a cause that will make a real difference in our community.

We’d also like to acknowledge and thank our generous sponsors:
• Blacklows TradeZone, Ashburton
• Fresh Choice Tinwald
• Silver Fern Farms
• Netherby Meats
